Lodge Welfare SI Lodge #120 has suffered the loss of 7 members this year. Barbara Geraghty, Charles LaGanga, Tim McCarthy, Scott McKenna, Roger Philippin, Leo Priola and Israel Rios. Please keep the families of these members and the sick of the Lodge, Al Girimonte, David Goldberg, Marty King, Dan Yagos, Jean Nutley wife of Brian Nutley and Gerry Castigliola wife of Jerry Castigliola in your thoughts and prayers.

Rookie Club All Lodge members are entitled to a check of $50 for the birth of a child or grandchild in this calendar year. The newest members of the Rookie Club are Mary Elizabeth Leonard granddaughter of Bill Post, Juliette Ann Gregory granddaughter of Joe Esposito, Gracie Elyse DeVincenzo granddaughter of Chris Kinzel, Valentina Carmela Franzese and Francesca Rae Falcone granddaughters of Anthony Franzese. Congratulations members.

2024 Dues All members should have received an envelope containing the 2024 dues renewal, the 2024 schedule of meetings and a copy of the member benefits. I need to receive your renewals no later than October 15 to ensure that you receive your National ID cards, courtesy cards and windshield decals from the NYS Lodge before December 31st. Extra courtesy cards and decals are $3 each. Please write a separate check for them.

NYS Driver Safety Class The Lodge will resume the NYS Driver Safety Course for members and family. Registration will be at the October membership meeting on Thursday 10/12 at the Elks lodge. Please arrive at 6:30 if you intend to register for the class.

Holiday Raffle Tickets (blue) In 2022 the Lodge paid out $13,100 in member benefits and donated $4,250 to worthy causes for a total of $17,350. We were only able to do this because of the financial support and participation of the membership and we thank you. We ask that everyone purchase the 2 raffle tickets ($10 each) you received in the mail. In 2022 only 250 of the 623 members purchased tickets. We understand that these are difficult financial times. However, to maintain our level of member benefits and donations we are asking for a larger participation by the membership. In 2022 we awarded five (5) $500 prizes to the lucky winners at the December meeting. Thank you.

October Meeting The October meeting will be held on Thursday October 12 at 7:00 at the Elks Lodge. We ask that you come at 6:45 if you wish to pay your dues or purchase extra cards or decals.

Fraternally,
Tim McGinn
